Twin-rail conveyors
Euroimpianti designs overhead twin-rail conveyors, suitable to transport various kinds of products, both light and heavy.
Twin-rail conveyors are essentially made of two superimposed rails. The lower one contains the trolleys used to hang the pieces, while the upper one contains the chain that guarantees the movement of the trolleys. The trolleys, equipped with particular coupling/uncoupling devices, can be moved with the upper chain and detached from it to create accumulation points.
Twin-rail conveyors solve the very complex problems of handling and offer greater freedom in working, such as the creation of an accumulation area for the pieces and the coherence between two or more work areas which operate in different timing. They also make it possible to move the loads per batches, with automatic shifting of un-required ones, and guarantee thus the continuity of the production cycle.
It is particularly useful to create accumulations during the finish cycle phases when the processes can start running at a timing when the suitable number of pieces to be treated has been reached, such as in the case of polymerisation ovens.
Twin-rail conveyors adapt to all types of our systems, and offer thus the possibility to meet all logistic and work needs, even the already existing production aspects.
A motor-driven caterpillar controlled by an inverter, guarantees a smooth and constant pulling of the products to be handled. The speed can be easily adjusted from the electrical panel, in accordance with the production capacity to be reached.
Descenders, special devices used to vertically move the loads, can be installed in order to facilitate the operator’s work during the loading/unloading of the pieces, and in order to avoid hindrances owing to the up and down movement in the conveyor path.
The system is equipped with automatic cleaning, blowing, and lubrication devices which keep the chain in perfect condition over time, and guarantee its correct functioning even at high temperature.
Continuous cycles along the conveyor path and in correspondence with the personnel work area, are provided with stop mushroom push-buttons that interrupt the chain movement. Breaking plugs are used in the caterpillar transmission to interrupt the motion if something stops the chain from running.
Particular attention is paid to the design of the conveyor rail supports. In case of high temperature, in particular, special devices allow the rails to expand inside the oven and permit the conveyor to be independent from the oven structure.
