Cyclones and reduction systems

Euroimpianti builds cyclones and dedusters to be integrated into our complete powder coating systems, or in existing coating lines. These devices are used in recovering the powder that does not accumulate on the painted pieces, and in eliminating the exhausted powder which is no more usable. The cycle guarantees correct separation between the air components and powder, and makes it possible to recover the powder and emit clean air.

Description of the operating cycle:

The powder, which is introduced and fluidised in the tank (4) through injectors, is directed to the guns that spray an air/powder mixture onto the pieces which pass into the application booth (1). The powder overspray is extracted by the cyclone separator (2) where the powder falls along the cone and arrives to the sift (3) and then to the recovery tank (4) The fine powder in the air flow that the cyclone separator cannot eliminate, arrives to the cartridge filter (5) where the definitive air/dust separation occurs. The powder falls into the collection container (6) while the air is sent out through the exhaust unit (7).

It is the centrifugal power, created by the swirl motion generated inside the cyclone, that guarantees the separation of the solid particles from the gas phase.

The very accurate design of the cyclones makes it possible to create two main swirl flows in the cyclones themselves: one is an inlet flow which carries the big-granule particles of powder downwards onto the walls (these particles are suitable for recovery and reuse by making them pass through a vibration sifter and powder tank); the second is an outlet flow moving upwards and carrying the small-granule particles, the so-called exhaust powder which cannot be recovered and is thus directed towards the deduster.

The deduster separates the gas phase from powder particles, through easy-to-maintain cartridge filters.

In the end, another absolute filter may be installed after the extraction fan in order to guarantee full elimination.

As proof of this, it is possible to install an electronically-controlled summer/winter shutter to process hot air recirculation in the work environment during the winter months. Our cyclones can be connected to powder tanks or to powder centres, which facilitate the colour change management.
