Euroimpianti designs and realizes IR/UV ovens, to insert in any of our complete systems or in existing coating lines. To demonstrate the continuous research of cutting edge technical solutions, Euroimpianti was one of the first companies to install a continuous complete system for manufactures 3D painting to its show-room, exploiting IR/UV technology.
This system is available to customers who would like to approach themselves the reality of UV powders and discover its advantages.
In fact, if treatment and application processes of the powder are the same processes used for powder coating, the difference is found again during the paint polymerization phase, where fusion and polymerization take place in two separated processes. Indeed, the settled dust on manufactured articles exposed to IR (infrared) source of heat melts, forming a smooth and homogeneous film without reticulation. This is a consequence of the specific chemical nature of UV dusts. The following exposure to ultraviolet rays leads to the reticulation of the melted film, guaranteeing a homogeneous paint flow.
Unlike the traditional hot air drying at 200°C, IR/UV process allows to get excellent finishes at relatively low temperatures (90-130°C), making the ideal process for many thermo-sensible manufactures.
The use of the infrared heat source has reduced on the one hand the production times (passing from the traditional 20 minutes of hot air drying ovens to a few minutes to melt the film) and on the other hand the systems dimensions. The following quick and unobtrusive UV reticulation process completes the cycle, providing a great energy saving.
At our system we tested coating on different types of products such as centrifugal pumps, electric motors, ratio-motors or cylinders, getting excellent finishing results.
In particular, this technology can be successfully applied to the 3D specials finishing which are fully assembled. Their components had to be painted separately with the traditional coating in order to prevent damage of the thermo-sensible parts (like plastic components and electrical cables), making it possible the particulars finishing such as pumps and in electric motors in a single process.
